
Efrain Ulloa - Biography

Pianist Efrain Daniel Ulloa was born in the city of Santa Monica, California, USA, in 1991. His musical journey began as a teenager in 2005 under the guidance of Maestro Rafael Huerta Vázquez, Director of the Wind Symphony of Tepatitlán de Morelos, Jalisco. In 2008, he began his piano studies with pianist Roberto Mora Ramírez.
Efrain began his academic career internationally at the University of Guadalajara in 2009, studying under the tutelage of the distinguished pianist Rosa María Valdez Galindo. He continued his musical studies at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona, under the direction of pianist Dr. June Chow-Tyne, and in 2015, he then transferred to the Fred Fox School of Music at the University of Arizona to pursue a Bachelor of Music degree with an emphasis in Piano Performance with Dr. John Milbauer and Dr. Fanya Lin.
Throughout his career, Efrain has showcased his talent in numerous venues in Mexico in the states of Jalisco, Guanajuato, Sinaloa, and Sonora, as well as in Tucson, Arizona, interpreting a diverse repertoire ranging from classical to contemporary Latin American genres.
As a Steinway & Sons teaching partner based in Tucson, Arizona, Efrain works imparting his passion for music thru piano lessons. Expanding his business "Figueroa Piano Studio”, Efrain teaches students of all ages and in various musical styles in Tucson, Arizona. He continues to enrich his repertoire as a soloist and accompanist, captivating audiences in the United States and Mexico with his current project "Travesía Musical".
Driven by his belief in the transformative power of music, Efrain Daniel Ulloa remains dedicated to his artistic path as a musician, teacher, and perpetual student of the art.
